Enemy Status Effects & Abilities
Status effects are "debuffs" or "hindrance" effects; something certain enemies can apply to you, whether it's by their regular attack or use of items.
Enemy Abilities are abilities enemies are able to use against you.
Name | Effect | How to protect yourself |

Sick | Caused by disease, reduces your skill and the effect is stacking | Use Seltzer water or Golden Apple, or Garnet if you have at least 6 Mage Skill to cure this. |
Blind | Prevents you from being able to use items and effectively lowers your skill by half. | Can only be cured outside of combat with Seltzer Water or Golden apple, or Garnet if you have at least 6 Mage skill. |
Panic | Disables attacking, forcing you to flee if you don't cure it. | Use Seltzer water or Golden Apple, or Garnet if you have at least 6 Mage Skill to cure this. |
Blast | Enemies with blast will deal 120 damage to you that ignores defense. | No preventable way, high skill let you have a better chance at dodging it. |
Name | Effect | How to protect yourself |

Foresight | Same as Sage. Stops your Backstab, Ieatsu and Hypnotize attempts. | Not a hostile ability. |
Hypnotize | If successful will kill you. | Sage will automatically protect you against it - unless you have used one of your other guild skills in that turn of battle, or if have used a "turn ending" item. High Wits will contribute to resisting it. A Substitoad will also block a single cast of it and be consumed upon doing so. |
Berzerk | Deals massive amount of damage - can not be used in the first turn of combat. | High Guts/Def will let you take more damage. Else High Skill for better chance at dodging. |
Ieatsu | Deals massive amount of damage to you - can be used in the first turn of combat. | Sage will automatically protect you against it - unless you have used one of your other guild skills in that turn of battle, or if have used a "turn ending" item. High Wits will contribute to resisting it. High Guts/Def will let you take more damage. Else High Skill for better chance at dodging. |
Swindle | If successful will empty your whole inventory. | Thief Insurance will protect you against this. High Charm will contribute to resisting it. |
Backstab | Deals high damage to you. | Sage will automatically protect you against it - unless you have used one of your other guild skills in that turn of battle, or if have used a "turn ending" item. High Wits will contribute to resisting it. High Guts/Def will let you take more damage. Else High Skill for better chance at dodging. |
Devour | The enemy with devour will attempt to eat any equipment that has "Glow" or "Flame". If it swallows your equipment, you can kill it the enemy to retrive the (pershaps now rusted) piece of equipment. The enemy can also flee after eating it - rendering it lost forever. | Don't bring equipment with "Glow" or "Flame" or simply Flee before attacking. |
Munch | Goats will sometimes between turns eat some of your rope. | Can't really protect yourself against this. |
Regen | Dunjeon and Mountain Trolls will sometimes fully heal between turns. | Can't really stop this. |
